Where It All Began
In 2003, in the heart of Detroit, a young Cristoforo Castiglione stepped behind turntables for the first time. What started as a fascination with the art of the mix quickly became an obsession — learning not just how to play songs, but how to read a room, build energy, and create moments that people would remember for a lifetime.
Detroit's music scene was the perfect classroom. Under the mentorship of seasoned master DJs who had spent decades perfecting their craft, Cristoforo absorbed everything — the technical precision of seamless transitions, the psychology of crowd engagement, and the showmanship that separates a good DJ from an unforgettable one.
Those early years shaped a philosophy that still drives Fredo Productions today: every event is a story waiting to be told through sound, light, and experience.
The First Mix
Started DJing in Detroit, taking on weddings, clubs, and private events with a special focus on cultural and ethnic celebrations that demanded versatility and heart.
Texas Roots
Relocated to Texas, immersing in the vibrant Latino event scene and honing country music programming — expanding a musical vocabulary that few DJs possess.
Return to Detroit
Back in Michigan, dove deeper into the Detroit music and event scene that started it all, refining the craft across an even wider range of genres and audiences.
New York City
New horizons opened in NYC, performing at high-profile events across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the surrounding tristate area — absorbing the energy of the world's greatest stage.
The Steel City
Pittsburgh welcomed DJ Fredo as a headliner DJ, embracing the city's rich musical diversity. Fredo Productions was built into a multifaceted production and entertainment company with a growing team of professionals.
